Dear Dede,
I arrived safely. The city here is very flat. There is no mountain in the sky. I keep looking for it but it's not there.
Is so very big, and my room so small. I have one window that looks onto a concrete wall and one neighbour who plays music until very late. I have not introduced myself yet. Maybe this week. I hope they're nice.
The weather is so much colder. Not like home. At home the cold comes in from the sea and it smells like something. Here it is just cold.
But I've made a friend already! A man with funny glasses. He told me he was living in Dog Town for many years too! A good man, I'm sure.
I will call when I can find the phone office. Tell Grandmother I am eating properly even though I am not yet.
Your son,
Emre
